They were: Seniots: Michael Barney, Jer ry Boger, Mitzi Tomasene Brigman, Patrice Gates, June Harris, Ruby Holder, Lavada Ami Markland, Suzanne Martin. Mark Mints, Phyllis Quillin, Diane Register, Gary Eugene Richardson and Peggy Wallace. Juniors: Debbie Louise Alex ander, Billy Anderson, Dale Ijames, Brenda Summers and Tutterow. Sophomores: Nancy Elisabeth Anderson, Andy Andrews, Lyim Blackwood, Wanda Keller and James Essex. Freshman: Joey Holmes. Mrs. Hamilton Wins Bicycle Mrs. John Henry Hamilton of Center Street opened a Cheerwine last week and, oat of curiosity, pulled the cork out of the eap and found that she was the winner of a bicycle. She took the cap to the Cheerwine Bottling Co. in Salisbury, and they presented her with the new bike. Mrs. Hamilton stated that she did not attempt to ride the bicycle bade to Cooleemee, but was proud to be •winner. Tonie, eight, is the daughter of Foyell Brogdon, a teacher at Davie County High School. She was seriously injured Thursday about 7:45 ajn. Pa R. L. Beane said the accident happened on Highway NC 801 in the North Cooleemee area. He said his investigation show ed the driver of the 1963 model vehicle was Lorry Mitchell Set tle, 24, of Cooleemee. who was headed south on the highway. Loves Hk Journal One of the most teudUbg thing* that's ever happened to me in a life-time in the newspaper business was a story I heard here last week. Somebody in the drug store said that Johnny Chandler came dn with a dime and bond* a candy bar. Just as be was about to open it, Maiiene walked in with the Journals fresh off the press. Johnny took a look and eaid, "You know, I believe I'd rattier have a Journal," and turned in this candy bar. You don't have to toeMeve thai if you don't want t% and after -all the cussiogs out I've had over in Salisbury, I'm not sure I beßere tt either, but it still makes you feel good. Johnny is the son of Mr. and Mrs. U. M* Chandler of 29 Wait Street. Halloween Party The Church of Hie Good Shepherd Sunday School will have a Halloween party at the Parish House at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon.. Director.
