SHKxflfc « ' - -ft :v ' ■^%fcc t -'-»' • "^t-*^ Mrs. Albert Lewerri Feeter Retarded Children Will Participate In Six-Week Program Thirty children have been reg istered for the six weeks sum mer recreation program pro vided by the Davie County As sociation for Retarded Children beginning Tuesday, July 16, at 9 a.m. The group will meet each Tuesday from 9 to 1 at the Coofeemee Recreation Center for swimming, exercises, games, music and arts and crafts. Lunch will be served each Tues day. On Thursdays, the group will meet from 1 to 5 p.m. at Broom sage Gulch, the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Anderson on Rt. 2, Advance, for Softball games, arts and crafts, hiking and fishing. Light refreshments will be served. Transportation will be provided for those who need it Carolyn (Mrs. Tom) Beaver of Holiday Acres will be director. Mrs. Beaver's salary will be paid by the Association for Re tarded Children, as will the cost of equipment and materials needed. R is hoped that this will be a rewarding experience for the 30 youngsters and that it can be an annual project for the lo cal association. Given in marriage by bet fattier, the bride wore an empire gown of organza over taffeta with seed pearl appliques and long sleeves ending in calla points. Hie gown featured an A-bne skirt end e chapel train of organza attached at the waist with a matching bow. She wore • crown of baby seed pearls with elbow length veil of illusion She carried a lace covered Bible with mums, and centered with a white orchkL Mrs. Sherman Durham, of Oooleemee, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore an empire style gown of pink brocade with matching driffoa bow from the waist. Her head dress was net over three roaette*. The bridesmaids were Wanda Foster of Oooleemee, and Mias Norma Durham of MocksviHe, cousins of the bride. Their gowns were like that of the matron of honor exeat in blue. The bridegroom's father was best man. Ushers were Danny Durham, brother of the bride, and Bill Davis of Mocksville. The couple will live in Mocksville after a Aort wedding trip.
