Postmaster White pointed out, however, that mail will continue to "be deposited in post office boxes on Saturdays as usual. Marl also will be collected and dispatched as scheduled. No changes will be made in window service hours Monday through Friday. Edgar Bowers Dies Of Wounds In War Specialist Edgar Bowers, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Overt W. ' Bowers of 1 Church Street, died Wednesday at 7 a.m. of wounds suffered on Sunday, July 14, in Vietnam. He was the first Cooleemee soldier to give his life for his country in the war in Vietnam. He was married to the former Nancy Lee Owen of Mt. Ulla. Funeral service for Specialist Bowers arc incomplete. The body is to arrive from Vietnam at baton's Funeral Home today.
