25 Win Turkeys,
Hams In 'Shoot'
The local Jsycees sponsored their first Turkey Shoot on
Saturday in the ballpark, just across from the Cooleemee Shop
ping Center. The two previously scheduled shoots were cancelled
due to bad weather.
Grimes Hancock was the big winner of the day with two hams
and two turkeys, it's quite obvious that the Hancocks won't have
to buy that traditional ham or turkey for Thanksgiving or even
Christmas. Of course Grimes will probably be back this week to
see if his luck is still holding out.
There were 25 winners during the day.
The Jaycees will continue to hold the shoots each Saturday
until Christmas.
