John Parker Weds In Gaffney, S.C. Miss Rebecca Ann Hall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hall of Route 3, MocksviHe, became die bride of Mr. John Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grimes Parker of Erwin Street, on Saturday, November 23 in Gaffney, South Carolina. LEXINGTON ln a J p.m. ceremony Sunday at Reeds Baptist Church, Miss Linda Gale Athey became the bride of Barry La Moot Spry, aon of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Spry of Cooleemee. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. JameT H. Athey of Route 4, Lexington. The Reverend Bennie Crawford officiated. Wedding music was furnished by Mrs. Lamar Myers, soloist, and Mrs. P. G. Myers, organist The bride was given in mar riage by her father and wore a gown of white peau de soie, detailed with lace appliques on the bodice and chapel train. The bride's veil was attached to a pearl-trimmed headpiece, and she held a Bible, centered with a white orchid. Mrs. Roger Norman was her cousin's matron of honor. Other attendants were Miss Pat Gales, Miss Cathey Spry of Cooleemee, cousins of the bridal couple, said Miss Sandy Michael of Lexington. Miss Teresa McCultoh of Mocksville was a Junior bridesmaid. A cousin of the bridegroom, Miss Lisa Goodman of Woodlcaf, attended as flower girl, and Billy Gales of Cooleemee, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer. All of the attendants wore dresses of green velveteen, and held a single yellow rose. James H. Athey Jr., and Steve Spry, brothers of the cou ple, ushered with Weldell Hutchins of Mocksville and Johnny Mcssick of Woodleaf. The bridegroom's father was best man. Mrs. Spry is a graduate of West Davidson liigh School, and is employed by Glosson Motor Lines, Inc. Her husband is a graduate of Davie County High School and Rowan Technical Institute and is employed by Burlington Industries.
