No Journal Next Week
The Journal will not publish next
week in order to give us all a break.
Then we shall publish a day early
the following week in order for the
papers to be mailed and delivered
before Wednesday, January 1. (That's
one reason. The other is that some
plan to howl New Year's Eve, and
all of us hope to watch the bowl games
on New Year's Day.)
So the next Journal will be printed
on Monday, December 90. Please get
the news to Marlene bv Friday,
December 27, because we plan to put
the paper together Saturday,
December 28, and mail it to TJnmjnton
for printing.
Meanwhile, all of us at The Journal
wish you a very Merry Christmas.
We certainly appreciate all the sup
port we have received during the past
year from our subscribers and our
advertisers.

John Parker, who entered

the Army stints for the next
three years.
John recently married the

living with her parents in
Mocksville until he reports to
the Senators in February.
Meanwhile, he is a satesman
