Where's The Fire?
That was the question asked by many Ingersol-
Rand employees recently.
Mrs. Lloyd Martin called the plant to inform
her husband that it was time for their third baby
and for him to come home" to take her to the
hospital.
Lloyd was out of the office at the time she
called and a fellow worker delivered the. message
to him out in the plant.
Like most expectant fathers, Lloyd got so ex
cited he darted out the nearest door to the parking
lot. This door just happened to be an emergency
door at the fire exit and when opened, it set off
the fire alarm throughout the plant.
Although he realized what he had done, he
didn't dare take the time to tell anyone what had
happened. He headed for home.
The fellow who had delivered the message to
Lloyd realized what had happened and pretty soon
things were back to normal.
incidently, the mother and baby came home
from the hospital last week and the father is almost
back to normal ■ ■ * '••> - '
