That's what the Community Service Center is trying to ascertain as it investigates the possibility of setting up such a center. Davie Library 5-3-66 Moekaville, N C 27028 High School basketball tournaments in the North and South Piedmont Conference get underway Friday night with Davie County High hosting the NPC. Games will be played on Fri day, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. Boys and girls cham pionship games will be played on Thursday, March 6. The Davie High Rebels are top-seeded in the tournament and will play Friday at 9 p.m. against the eighth place team, either West Rowan or North Davidson. Davie's Rebelettes will pro bably be seeded third. If so they will play the sixth-place team. According to results Tuesday that will be either North Iredell or Mooresville and the game will be Saturday at 3 p.m. If Davie's girls defeated North Davidson Tuesday and Central Davidson lost to Mooresville, then Davie would tie for second in the girls' bracket. Thus, if seeded second they will play at 7 p.m. Saturday, also against North Iredell or Mooresville. 81-CONFERENCE Bi-conference playoffs between the North and South Two Davie Residents Die In 601 Accident Two Davie County residents were killed and two others seriously injured last Thursday when their station wagon slam med into the side of a tractor trailer truck south of Mocksville on Highway COl. Killed were' Mrs. Electa Jenkins Broadway, 56, of Rt. 4, Mocksville, driver of the sta tion wagon, and Mark Anthony Foster, also of Rt. 4. Injured and still hospitalized were Mrs. Joyce Lee Foster, 18, mother of the dead youngster, and her five-year-old daughter, Shirley. Many relatives of the two families live in the Cooleemee area. They include the grandparents of the dead child, Dewey Foster 'of Gladstone Road, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fletcher Davie of Academy Road. Two boys teams and two girls teams will play in the bi-con ference tournament at Davie. Here's how the teams will be selecled for that tournament. Regular season champions from both the NPC and SPC will participate as will tournament champs from both conferences. If the regular season cham pion also wins the tournament, then the runnerup will also be eligible for the Piedmont Conference tourney. At this stage it appears Boyden and Davie will be cham pions in their conferences and the Kannapolis girls of the SPC and North Stanly of the NPC. FRIDAY GAMES Four games will be played Friday at Davie beginning with a girls game at 3 p.m., boys at 4:30, girls again at 7 p.m. and boys at nine. The South Piedmont Con ference tournament is to be played at Concord High. Their schedule is different because two girls teams draw first round byes. On Friday Highway Patrolman R. L.
