Davie County all their lives."
In the preface, Mr. Wall
writes:
"The history of a county
and its people is far too
comprehensive to be told in a
single volume. This work was
planned and written within
limited areas. Much more can
be researched and recorded;
the extensive footnoting will
assist the future researcher. It
is the sincere hope of the
author that both adults and
students, including those in the
elementary grades, will
investigate topics of particular
interest to them, learn more
about the past, gain a greater
appreciation of their heritage,
and record the rapidly
unfolding history of today."
This is the second historical
publication of Mr. Wall. He is
the author of the histroy of the
First Presbyterian Church of
Mocksville published in 1963.
