p.m., the Cooleemee team will
host the Tigers of Mocksville,
the nightcap will feature the

Will Be Delayed
The printing of additional
copies of the "History of Davie
County" has been delayed. Hie
books are now being printed
and should be available for sale
about March 15.

James F. Spry
Receives Promotion
U . S Army , Vietnam
(AHTNC) Jan. 9 James F.
Spry Jr., whose parents live in
Cooleemee, N.C., was promoted
Dec. 24 to Army specialist five
in Vietnam, where he is serving
with the 361 st Signal Battalion.
The 23-year-old specialist is a
technical controller in the bat
talion's Company B.
Indian Dances
To Be Presented
At Main Library
A honorary Scout organiza
tion, '"Hie Order of the Arrow,"
will present "Indian Ceremo
nial Dances" in authentic cos
tumes at the Davie County Pub
lic Library, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m.
This will be a program that
will be enjoyed by all ages as it
is an unusual and interesting
Indian exhibit. The public is
invited to see the exhibit in the
main library as well as the
dances Monday night.

Tickets are now on sale for the
$250 Vacation Check that will be
given away on February 28. The
drawing will te held during the
Talent Show , sponsored by the
Cooleemee Jaycees. You do not
have to be present to win. Con
tact any local Jaycee to pur
chase your ticket for sl. which is
also a contribution to the Davie
County Mental Health Clinic.
The "Courtney Cut-Ups" will
be master of ceremonies, and
will provide entertainment for
the entire family.
The "Common People" will
also provide special entertain
ment during the evening but
will not compete against local
talent.
The Jaycees are still looking
for talent and would like to have
all entries by Monday, Febru
ary 23. in order to plan the show.
