By MARLENE BENSON Members of the Cooleemee Indus trial Development Association ap proved a proposal to call for a vote on the incorporation of the town of Cooleemee at a meeting last Thurs day night at the Recreation Center here. Only the members, living within the boundaries of elgibility to vote in the upcoming election, were per mitted to vote on this proposal. This was not a vote to incorporate the town, as some residents may believe. This approval will simply give the people of Cooleemee a chance to exercise their given rights by voting in the election. The board of directors of the CIDA will decide when the vote will be called. At the same time, five coun cilmen will be elected to serve on the Cooleemee town Board. Prior to the election on the in corporation of the town, a public meeting will be set up, possibly in the Di/io -3-6o ! : ocksville, H C 27028 school auditorium, to inform the people of the cost of such an election and other matters concerning in corporation procedures. The directors will make every effort to have legal and professional authorities of all related fields, present at this meeting. There will also be a representative from Bur lington Industries on hand to try to answer any questions the people may have.
