their teachers, visited the Main
Library during National Li
brary Week. They were shown
the exhibits, the sculpture, all of
the library including the be-
hind-the-scenes work area, and
thoroughly enjoyed a film in-

Salisbury, on Sunday. They
came to celebrate the birthdays
of Mrs. Hellard, Mrs. Gwyn,
and Dawn. Later in the af
ternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Plummer and grandchildren,
Michael and Michelle Plummer
of Charlotte joined them.
Red Wyrick of Main Street
attended a C. B. Radio Con
ference in Charleston, West
Virginia over the weekend. The
purpose was to discuss the
organization of a Southeastern
C. B. Radio Club. He returned
home Sunday night.
Edwin Wetmore is a patient at
the Veterans Hospital inOteen,
where he is undergoing treat
ment and tests. He is improving
and hoping to return home in
another week.

Seamon of Route 4, Mocksville,
and Glenn Snyder, Jr. were
married Monday, April 20, in
York, South Carolina. Ther
ceremony was performed by
the Honorable Charles F. Nunn.
The couple's parents served
witnesses.
After a brief wedding trip, the
couple will make their home
with the bridegroom's parents.

Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Hendrix,
Jr. of Mocksville announce the
birth of a son on April 12, at
Davie County Hospital. The
baby weighed seven pounds, 4
ounces and has been named
Haywood Robertson Hendrix
in.
They also have a daughter.
Patricia, 18. The grandparents
are Mr. and Mrs. Guy Foster of
Cooleemee and Mrs. H. R.
Hendrix. Sr. of Mocksville.
Mrs. Joe Means and children
of Toccoa, Georgia were here
over the weekend with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H.
Wet more. Other visitors were
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Wetmore and
John of Raleigh.
Doyle Spry of Raleigh spent a
brief visit here with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Grady Spry, Sr.,
Monday evening. Doyle, and
employee at Dorthea Dix
Hospital, Raleigh, will be at
tending school in Winston-
Salem for the next two weeks.
