An unusually interesting meeting of the Woman's Missionary Society of the Baptist church was held in the fVmTfh on Monday afternoon. Mrs. D. E. Hill led the singing and the circle of prayers and Mrs. C. L. Beaman read the Scripture lesson. The topic of study for the afternoon was "African W o manhood and a splendid talk on "African Belles, mar riage, Homes and Black Babies" was made by Mrs. J. Vis Holmes. A talk on "The Missionary Trial In Africa" by Mrs. Hill proved most interesting and a selection?"Woman's Work In Nigera" read by Mrs. J. M. Wheless was timely and instructive. A short business session was held, in which a weekly meeting of this group was planned, different phases of the work of the society to be taken up at each meeting. iii? Davis and Mrs. Sterling Gates were made members of this organiza tion at a former meeting. Some wives sew; others sue. He was only a garage man, but he had the jack. The easiest garden to raise is weeds, and life is like that. I'm wild about you, said the hen-pecked husband, to his wife, as he went crazy. A girl without a naturally beautiful complexion usually makes up for it. General Pershing has been writing a history of the World war. Now maybe we'll find out who won it. ? ?? ?? ?
