Dale and son, Maxwell, of Portsmouth, Va., returned home on Thursday after a few days visit in the homes of Mrs. B. L. Dale and Miss Vivian Case, relatives here. Entertain at Bridge On Tuesday afternoon Misses Dip pie Baker and Lucy Ann Flanagan entertained at bridge at the home of Miss Flanagan. ^ The guests were welcomed by Miss Flanagan and introduced to the honor guests, Miss Jess Sumrell, of Green ville, and Miss Mary Daley Hardy, of La Grange. The guests were then serv ed delicious punch by Miss Lila Dell Flanagan and Miss Baker. Bridge and hearts dice were enjoyed for several hours. Miss Rachel Jordan winning the bridge prize, and Mrs. Charles Baucom the hearts dice prize. The honor guests were presented with dainty linen handkerchiefs. At the conclusion of the games a de licious frozen salad course was serv-. ed. The" favors were old-fashioned roserosegays.
