ceremony impressive in its charm

bridge, luncheon of Tuesday, given by
Mrs. B. 0. Lang and. her daughter,
Mrs. A. C. Monk, Jr., at the home of
the former, in honor of Mrs. Lang's
sisters and sister-in-law, who were
house guests; Mrs. Augustus Rogers,
of Lake Alfred; Fla., Mrs. *W. H. |
Whitmore, of Wilson, and Mrs. J. T.
Keel, of New York City.
The Lang home on Belchen street
was decorated with quantities of
garden flowers, and blue bud vases
with pink roses centered the thirteen
tables, arranged with luncheon ap
pointments on die spacious veranda.
As the guests arrived they were
greeted by Mrs. Lang and Mrs. Monk,
and presented, to the honor guests.
A barbecue plate with iced tea was
followed by claws plea.
In the games of progressive con
tract, Mrs, R. H. Knott and Mrs.
William R. Burke won high score
awards of brsfs bridge bells and
Mrs. M. V. Jones retained the slam
prize. The honorees were presented
with pottery and figurines, and Mrs.
Charles M. Griffin, of Wilson, form
