J. W. Redkk continues ill at Park View Hospital. Mrs. Robert McArthur and sons, Robert Marshall and Gilbert, of Bell Arthur, spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Dilda. Mrs. W. E. Lang and son, Truett Lang, of Walstonburg, visited rela tives in Fountain Sunday afternoon. Mrs. J. W. Jefferson and son, Billy, visited relatives in Pine tops during the week-end. Parker, 43 Last rites for Jim M. Parker, 43, ktisD known and highly respected citi zen, were held Sunday afternoon from the Farmville Funeral Home, at 8:8? o'clock, by Rev. B. B. Fordham, Bap tist minister. Interment was made in Hollywood cemetery. Active pallbearers were: A. B, Moore, Jake Joyner, Joel Moye, Wal ter Ellis, Ike Jones and W. C. Tucker. The death of Mr. Parker, which was unexpected, occurred in a Greenville hospital Saturday evening, four hours after he was taken with a bemmorhage of the stomach. Mr. Parker, a son of George R. and the late Mrs. Mollie Carraway Par ker, spent most of his life in Farm ville and this community, where he was usefully employed for many years as a mechanic, and had a repu tation of being one of the most re liable and efficient garage men here. He was engaged in the garage busi ness at the time of his death. Surviving are twc daughters: Mar jorie Lee and Delphia Mae Parker, by his first wife, the late Mrs. Min nie Allen Parker; a second wife, Mrs. Inez Garrett Parker; his father, George R. Parker; six sisters, Mrs. A. H. Craft of Kinston, Mrs. John Mozingo, Mrs. Frank Tyson and Mrs. L. E. Flowers of Farmville; Mrs. Thomas Hamille and Miss Inez Par ker of Falkland; two brothers: Jack and William Earl Parker of Aber deen.
