RESTORATION CAMPAIGN
REPORTED AS SUCCESSFUL
The "Parade of Pcrmiae" campaign,
being held throughout the State for
the restoration of <>'?*"*' St. Thom
as' Church, at Rath, and headed lo
cally by Mrs. W. ADex Allen, has
been concluded with the stun of
$4&20 being sent to the Restoration
Committee.
The Church, the oldest in the na
tion, is being restated by North
Carolinians, irrespective of denomi
national affiliation as a shrine of
remamberanca.
A. C. Monk, public spirited extisen,
who is interested in this project, and

started the local campaign with a
donation of $28.

ship of J. E. McAbee, special state
representative, who is now living in
Farmville.
The meeting was well attended
and the Masonic Hall has been se
cured for regular meetings each
week. The newly elected officers

dy, advisory lieutenant; Lynwood
Murphy, banker; Co ye Avery, es

Funeral services for Mrs. Maude
Eslie Tyson, 62, who died at her
home near Farmville, Tuesday morn
ing at 4:00 o'clock, after a lingering
illness, were conducted from the
Farmville Funeral Home Wednesday,
at 2:30 o'clock, by Rev. M. E. Tyson,
Free Will Baptist minister, of Mid
dlesex, ssMsted by the Rev. C. B.
Mash horn, pastor of the Christian
church. Interment was made in Bol
lywood cemetery.
