More Grazing Crops
Save Time and Labor
More and more grazing crops, not
only to furnish cheap feed but also
to save on time and labor, is the
greatest need of dairymen, beef cattle
feeders, hog producers, and poultrymen,
say Extension specialists in
animal husbandry and poultry at N.
C. State College.
"Utilize the free labor of cattle,
dairy animals, hogs, work stock, and
poultry in harvesting grazing crops
so that labor njay be saved and cheaper
products aad gains obtained," the
specialists point out.
Man hours of work are precious
under labor shortage conditions caused
by the war and every effort must
be made to save time and labor whenever
possible
Many excellent grazing crops may
be grown in North Carolina that will
furnish cheap feed "for the major
part of the year. The specialists
suggest small grain crops, lespedesa,
soybeans, Sudan grass, cowpeas, velvet
beans and other crops.

grazing crops are two of tiM£p|a(|
