SEPT. 15 DEADLINE FOR USNR
OFFICERS JOIN REGULAR NAVY
Charleston, S. C-, Aug. 8?The
Navy has designated Sept 15, as the
deadline for submission of applica
tions for transfer of Naval Reserve
and temporary USN officers to the
regular Navy.
With certain exceptions applica
tions will not be-accepted after that
date.
This deadline does not apply to
officers who request transfer to the
regular Navy as Law Specialists;
officers who will have completed less
than one year's commission in -the
service on Sept 15; and officers who
receive theiV first commission sub
sequent to Sept 15.
A deadlne of July 20 had already
been established for officers apply
ing for transfer as chief warrant
officers or warrant officers.
The Sept 16 deadline applies to
officers on terminal leave and in
active duty as well as officers on
active duty.
If sugar is lacking, try drying

al chairman, Dr. N. Thomas Ihmett,
expenses of the County Tuberculosis
Control Program for too first seven
months of the year.
Total expenditures were $2476.74.
Mr* Moors reported that $992 of
the total went for xrny* $127.13
went to the State Association' in
March, and the-balance was expand
ed for supplies.
