SINGING The Pitt County Singing Conven tion met with the Marlboro Free Will Baptist church an Maie$i 11 qnd en joyed a program presented by various members. The service was opened with 'a hymn nag pnyter, after which the convention voted to have its next meeting the second Sunday in Jane at Gum Swamp FWB church near Behroir. The Marlboro choir was the first on the program. Next was thfr Kings Crossroads quartet, composed of Earl Sledd, Richard Bundy, Douglas Nor ville and Boy Jones. This group was followed by the Phillips quartet Zeb Morgan and Miss Martha Tyson pre sented solos. Jean and Claudia Pol lard rendered duets. Wtoer groups were reparsented at the convention than leaders hoped for, hut each group was given an op portunity to render more selections than would have been the case if more units had been present LEGION AUXILIARY HELPS WITH HOME Mr. and Mn.
