The interior of tbe court room presented quite a handsome ap pearance when court court tied yesterday morning as the result of tbe tenets! renovation it has received during the past few weeks. There was quite an important business meeting of tbe Civic league in tbe court house last Friday afternoon and it was well attended. Tbe secretary report ed that ■· · result of a canvass of the town during tbe few days previous, quite a number of members had been secured, and tbe treasurer reported subscrip tions to the amount of about $75. Mr. James Miskelly, aged about sevens-five years, who lived with hia son-in-law ou a farm belonging to Dr. W. G. White and located on the Piack ney road about four miles west of Yorkville, died suddenly yes· terday afternoon at about ) o'clock, presumably from ap oplexy. He walked out from the house for some purpose ac companied by a little grand child, and from such information as the child could give, seems to have aat down and expired al most instantly. Coroner Ιγοο tbian went to tbe sçeoe yester day afternoon, aecompauied by Dr. J D. McDowell. Bludwortb was taken from a well on the premise* of P. Β. Smith, at the corner of Congress and Jefferson streets, at about I o'clock this afternoon, The dit· covery of the dead body vaa pnrely accidental. Long con tinned effort was made at resus» citstioa, bat without result, death having evidently occarred several hours before Mr. Bind worth waa a member of the grand jury and no other member of that body had seen him since yesterday afternoon. The reporter hears that several people saw him this morning, but the rumors have not been verified. He bad employment with the Yorkvillc Β. & M. Co. The deceased was a son of the late John Blodwortb and of Mrs. M. A. BlndwoTth of Yorkvillc. There are no braises or other marks about the body to indicate foul pl»y. and so far no one seems to be able to give any reason why the yonng man should have committed suicide. It is quite possible that legal ip veaiigatiop may throw some light on the mystery, It can be stated positively that Mr. Bind· worth was seen last night at aboat 0:30 and that he appeared to be io bis ns«al good spirits. nBWVRHipHMHPI···· MiâY lOC&S.
