Hill Chamber of Commerce is wrestling with the problem of bringing more people to Rock Hill, and as means to the solution of the problem has decided to spend, a thousand dollars or so advertising the ad vantages of the: town in the South Carolina . newspapers. They want good people from anywhere, but they prefer South Carolina people. . Among the . principal attractions to be exploited are a splendid educational system, plenty of work and , rapidly in creasing real estate values. ' Information was received here yesterday of the death of Mr. P. M. Grimes, which occured in one of the Atlanta hospitals Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Mr. Grimes was the first super intendent of the York " Cotton mills and held the position until three years ago, when he moved to" Georgia. For thepast two years he has been in charge of a mill at Masted, Ga. His death was due to Bright's disease. -Mr. J. Robert Craig, of States- ville, is here visiting his parents. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. A sumptuous, dinner was served on a long table on the grounds,, there being a great abundance for all 'present. In the forenoon there were short addresses by Revs. G. A. Spar- row, ot union, K. a. Miner, oi Lowell, and J. B. Cochrane, of New Hope. Preceding the ad dresses there was a singing in which a large number partici pated. In the afternoon theie i was a meeting of the ladies mis. sionary society of the church. There was also a baseball game. The day. was a most en joyable one throughout.
