"The hen that laid thia egg must have been turning the corner at the time she performed that feat," re marked Ned Hayes, of the Singer Sewing Machine Company's force, as he handed the freak-egg editor of The Gazette a thing that looked like a cross between a pretzel and a semi circle yesterday morning. "Mr. John Armstrong of South Point sen fit to you, he continued. Ned didn't know the breed of the hen that laid it but opined that it must have been some kind of a blooded fowl.
