Miss Docie Dellinger, of Cherry- ville, spent Sunday with her cousin- Miss Hattle Dellinger, of this place. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Stroup spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. William Whitesides. Mr. John Kindley and family, of Gastonia, spent one day last wees with Mr. John Kindley, of Crouse. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Clark spent Saturday and Sunday in CherryvlHe as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Van Dyke. Mr. W. L. Kindley got a ripe wa termelon from his patch on last Sat urday, July 8th. Mrs. Mary Annie Clark, of Besse mer City, route one, is seriously ill. Rev: Mr. Hite, of Lincolnton, will hold communion services at the Lutheran church here next Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Miss Zilla Abernethy, of Charlotte, spent last week with her sister, Mrs. Mamie Bradshaw. Mr. Tom Allen, of Clover. S.'C, r visiting his brother Mr. Wra. Allen. Mrs. Arthur Barker, of Gastonia, and Mrs. Carry Bradshaw, of Mount Holly, are visiting their father, Mr. A. F. Harris. Mr. D. A. Troutman was In Lin colnton today on business. Mrs. William Allen died at her j home near here last Sunday night. She was 68 years of age and is sur- I vfved by her husband and several children.
