Gaston county furnished four of the niaety-sevea undergraduate tuilut who made honor eraJc last term. To attain honor grades one must make an average of ninety er cent or better ou all his studies for the term, which represents very high scholarship. Two of the four students are from Cherryville and two from Gas tonia. Cherryville is represented by Bryan W. fcipe, a senior, and 8. R. Mr Clurd, a sophomore. The Gastonia tftn cuts are two juniors, 11. 6. Kincaid and T. Boyd, both of whom have a rep utation'bere for making high grades. The ninety seven students comprise somewhat of a cosmopolitan group, and also represent a wide diversity of college activities. Among these students cities are presented from Keisterstown, Mary land, to Ban German, Porto Rico, on one band, and from Rockwood, Tcnn., to Wil mington ou the other. Included in the list are such college athletes as Joyner, varsity baseball pitcher Kirkman, infield- er on the baseball team ;bhepherd, former basketball captain; such intercollegiate debaters as Uwyn, Taylor, Bobbit, and C.
