Casey Chairman of Committee to Promote Project A transient labor camp to serve the Mount Olive area is being planned by farmers arid business men working in co-operation with Wayne county war board. This -area, includes all of Wayne coun ty,. upper Duplin, and part of Sampson. < .. £E. C. Casey, of Mount Olive, has been appointed chairman of a - ►committee to promote the project. Sejviwg with him are L. P. Wells, ^ Albert Cox, E. F. Sutton and! Ed ward Southerland, all of Mount Olive; John N Albritton of Calypso, and N. M. 'Wiggins, of Dudley. C. S. Mintz, of Coldsboro, the Wayne county farm' agent, said that the farmers were co-operat ing to the fullest extent with the •government on the war goals. He said that at the last meeting the men asked for a minimum of 200 workers, in order that food might not spoil in the fields. . ELLA CREECH WAS BURIED TUESDAY Resident of Indian Springs Died Monday Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Creech* 68, who died at 9 o’clock Monday niglht at :h'£T hoove in In dian Springs Township following a heart attack, were conducted at the home. - The Rev.' W. E. Howard of Mt. Olive, Methodist minister, was in charge. Interment was in the church cemetery near the home. Surviving are five sons, Walter, Benjamin, Lannie, (Robert and Williaim, all of Indian Springs; and two daughters, Mrs. S'allie Bowden, Pikeville, and) Mrs1. Eloise Komegay, Seven Springs. In Hospital Little Miss Jean Rivembark, of 214 M'aple Street, Mount Olive, is a patient in the Goldsboro hos pital.
