Wolfe of Mount Olive announce

Peggy Wolfe, to Thomas Armstrong
Mebane on March 20th.
Mr. Mebane, son of Mrs. Allen
Mebane of Greensboro and the late
Mr. Mebane, is serving with the
United States Navy. Before enter
ing service he was employed with
Dillard Paper company in Greens
boro.
Mrs. Mebane is a senior at Wom
an’s college, University of North
Carolina, with a major in Elemen
tary education.
At the beginning of their wed
ding trip the couple toured the
mountains with a short stay at Fon
tana Village and continued their
trip to Atlanta, Ga.
The cquple is now at the home
of her parents in Mount Olive.

Daily Vacation Bible school held
its commencement Sunday morn
ing. Mrs. Ralph Warren, director,
stated that the school had been a
success and thanked all leaders,
helpers and parents, and members
of the refreshment committee for
the work they did in making it

The Primary group, led by Misg
Margerite Britt, Miss LufeiQe
Chambers and Mrs. Bruce H
ring, gave a resume of work done
during the school. The juniors, led
by Mrs. Will Komegay, Mrs.
iloyd Hontz, Mrs. Clayton Sum
merlin, and Mrs. Cecil Winstead,
gave a short program. ,
Miss Hope Harrison spoke about
the work of the Intermediate
group, led by Mrs.' L. G. Geddie
and Mrs. Weatherly of the Pres
byterian church. The Presbyterian
Intermediate group joined with the
Methodists for the two-week school.
Mrs. Fitzhugh Smith was in
charge of the nursery Sunday.

Americans” highlighted the study
course Wednesday night. Mrs. J.
W. Wilkins, secretary of mission
ary education, gave the devotion

called the roll. Mrs. J. H. Parker,
chaplain, led the devotions, using
hymns, “0 Master, Let Me Walk
With Thee” and . “Follow the
Gleam.” Theme of the devotio^tl
was “The Art of Living.”
Mrs. Lottie Berger led a dis
cussion on Christian work in Japan,
which was illustrated with pictures.
