Last weekend was full of (excitement for all of the teen agers.’ The Panthers won their homefcoming football game and during lie half-time Tennys War red! tjirjis crowned the 1955-56 Varsi ty Queen. Congratulations, Tennys, for this great honor! After the game the Seniors sponsored a homecoming dance at the gym. Some of those enioying the fun were: Tennys Warren, An nette. Casey, Graham Cooke, Char lie' Johnson, Danny Sue Outlaw, Joyce Daughtry, Laurence Wilson, Sjjow Miller, Stuart Patten, Char lotte Hodges, Ronald Lindsay, Nor ma Carol Summerlin, Betty Lou Kennedy, Anne Bracey, Sue Wil liams, Betty Lou Cooke, Shirley Lewis, Lawrence Hassell, Molly Dotson, Starkey Cherry, Donald Lindsay and, of course, the foot ball players. October seems to be the month of parties and birthdays. Joyce Daughtry celebrated her 18th birthday- Saturday by having a party at her house. Laurence Wil son, Norma Carol Summerlin, Donald Lindsay, David Gillis, Tom my Clifton, Stuart Patten, Ronald Lindsay, Clark Councill, Jackie Paul Crumpler, Susan Abbott, Mol ly Dotson, Charles Johnson, Bet ty Lou Kennedy, Anne Bracey, Charlotte Hodges, Snow Miller, Ann Wilson, Rex Whitfield, Emma Kay Hines, Rebecca Oliver and Carole Brock were some of those who helped her celebrate this occasion. To end this weekend ftf events, Rebecca Oliver had a small crowd at her house Sunday night. Those having a ball the last night of a BIG weekend were: David Gillis, Carole Brock, Bert May, Van May, Laurence Wilson, Anne Bracey, Sue Williams, Betty Lou Cooke, Harry Cooke, Stuart Patten, Jackie Paul Crumpler, Ernest Bracey and Emma Kay Hines. Last Thursday was Senior Day at East Carolina college. Nearly all of the seniors went and toured the campus of EC. Everyone had a fine time and enjoyed the barbecue dinner served in the school cafe teria. Many of the college students were home this weekend.
