‘‘Every woman” is a film follies
plus a neat lecture on morals
What “The Follies” and ‘‘The
Passing Show” are to the stage,
“Every woman” is to the^creen.
This big new extravaganza film'covered
to he shown at the Pastime The
atre May 17th displays more
feminine beauty to the screen
than ^ny picture hithertofore
photographed. No such lavish-
ness of interiors has been shown
since ‘‘Intolerance”. Vast scenes
of revefry -with shapely yoqug
women. Costumes of all kinds
scant where scantiness reveals
beauty and mammoth where
decoration is wanted. The pic
ture is an eyeful to both religious
and pagan classe.s, the worldly
expositions being sufficiently de
nounced by the moral characters
ID justify the’f' presence.—Chi
cago Herald and Examiner.
“Every woman” wilt be shown
in Raeford May l7th.‘ This is a
great show. Be sure to see it.
Stere Breaking
Same thief or tl)eives broke in
to McLauchlin (^)mpany’s store
between clc.-^inir tin'ie S.itnrday
niglU and Monday morning. It
looked like a slim chance of
overtaking the rogue, but Chief
Cbckman brought his dogs up to
the store after 8 o’clock Monday
the took the track and went as
straight as the scamp went to
George Cromartie’s room and to
his bed. got upon the bed and
lay down. George was taken
into custody and admitted his
guilt.
George has oeen em'ployed by
McLauchlin Co. to drive their
delivery truck. He prized up a
window to g'ain an entrance.
Not a great deal was taken, and,
it is thought he left before he
had finished his job, for a money
drawer was left open that con
tained only a five dollar bill and.
that was npt taken. He doubtless
thought he had been dis-
ty Gominissianer,
