Another committee was api^int- ed to confer with the. highway utfaorities and see if the road from here to Elizabethtown, through St. Pauls, would not be takenlover by the State. Nothing definite bad been promised, but this committee has been assured that this road will be taken oyer if possible. We are sorry to learn of Ae critical illness of Mr. Neill P. Sinclair at Ashley Heights. He has pneumonia. Willard, alias Dan Morgan, who escaped from a Norfolk and Western passenger train by jumping through a win dow near Vulcan W. Va., Satur day, while on the way from Winston-Salem. N. C, to Chi cago to face a charge of high way robbery, was still at large early today. Former sheriff A. C. (Sandy) Kelly of Moore county, died sud denly early Friday morning at his home four miles west of Car thage.
