Leon Gatlin, son of Mr. and Mis.
H. L. Gatlin, Jr., has been quite ill
for the past several days but was
out of bej yesterday.
Mrs. Perfy D. Niven, who has been
visiting her mother, Mrs. M. W. Me
Lean, returned to her home at Dune
d:n, F!a., this week.
State Senator Ryan McBryde was
at Duke hospital last Sunday to visit
his brother, Dr. Angus McBryde, who
is seriously ill there.

ding the funeral of J. H. Teal in
Durham Sunday were Mrs. Sadie
McRimmon, Mrs. Nonie Chappell,
Mrs. Jasper Davts, MVs. A. V. San
ders, Misses Mary Catherine Pre-
vatte and Gladys Baker. The de-
ceased was a brother of Miss Mollie
Teal of Raeford. He died Satur -
day and funeral services were con-
ducted from a funeral home in Dur-
ham Sunday afternoon at five o'-
clock,
