The production estimates are con tjined in the annual report of the Federal-State Crop Service in the N. C. Department of Agriculture. The hay crops this year is set at 1,281.000 tons as compared with 1,150,000 tons last year. However, peanuts show a big reduction, 287,- '850,000 pounds picked rnd Ihreshed this year as against 343,910,000 pounds in 1944.
