Miss Catherine Anne Walker, who teaches at Hopewell, Va., spent the Thanksgiving holi days with her mother, Mrs. J. W. Walker. Dr. and Mrs. Marcus Smith and children spent Thanksgiv ing with Mrs. Smith's relatives at Stony Point. Mrs, J. C. Mc Lean accompanied them to Statesville to spend the week end with her parents. Miss Eva Leach of Mt. Holly spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Grady Leach. Miss Sara Coggins of the State Board of Health visited the Moore-Hoke Health department tor several days this week. Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Allen and children spent. Thanksgiving with relatives in South Carolisa. Mr. and Mrs. Harold McDiar mid and children of Elon college spent the holidays with Mrs. Ina T. Lentz. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Campbell spent several days last week in Greenville, S. C. in the home of Mrs. Campbell's sister, Mrs. Dan Webster. Mr. and Mrs. Wood row Mc Lean of Clinton spent the week end in the ho re of W. A. McLean. Mrs. George Bethune and chil dren left last week to join Mr. Bethune at Concord. They have completed their new home. and we cut the firewood long. We had big fires, Jlghtwood knots have never failed to make satisfactory fires.
