ROCKFISH NEWS By Mrs. A. A. Mclnnis. Mr. Parker McKeithan and fam' ily of Stedman and a group of their friends came to visit his brother N. A. McKeithan last Saturday night. They brought a- long their musical instruments and entertained the family and a few of their neighbors with some special music. W. • H. Odom (Winkie) who was taken to Pittman’s Hospital last week for an operation is much better since the last few days. Iviiss Pauline Davis of Ashboro visited relatives in this comm unity over the past week end Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Monroe and Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Wood and family, Misses Lilly and Bet ty Jean Wood. The long line of boys as they started for the dining room was enough to make Mrs. Wood, who has several boys of her own, won der if she had under estimated the appetites of that many boys but as usual on such occasions, the dinner was more than ade quate, with the big birthday cake, ice cream and and all the acces sories. It seems' she started to throw a piece of board with a nail in it and some way pulled the nail across the top of the other hand and made a cut that had to have five stitches. C. J.
