They went especially for Shirley Mann, who spent last week there in te home of Mr. arxl Mrs. Abe Brooks. Lt. Don Richardson, paratroop er, 82nd Aifborne Diviion, was injured in a jump at Ft. Bragg last week. He will be confined to the hospital at Bragg for a minimum of three months, prob ably much longer, having suf fered a severe back injury. Lt. and Mrs. Richardon have been living ih Raeford for about 18 months and have^ an appartment how with Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Niven. Sawyer will take place in the MRS. V. , Stuart and children of Charlotte, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow McLean of Clinton, Mr. McLean, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert McLean and family and Mr. and Mrs. Hallie Blythe. The occasion was in celebration of Father’s Day. 0 Mrs. Kenneth McKeithan and son, Sandy, spent the week end in Raleigh. Mr. McKeithan, who attended a convention at State college last wqek, returned with them' home on Sunday. The community was invited. Lentz. Williams, became the bride of Charles Daniel Patterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Patterson of Route 2, Raeford, Sunday, June 1, at the First Presbyterian church of Fayetteville; Dr. Walter B. Healy, pastor of the bride, offi ciated. Prior to the ceremony a pro gram-of nuptial music was pre sented by Miss Margaret Craig, organist, and Miss Mafgaret Lew is, vocalist. The bride and bridegroom enr tered the church together. The bride was attired.in a becoming white wool suit with which she wore brown accessories and a corsage of talisman roses. Mr. Patterson is employed by Southern Dairies, and Mrs. Pat terson is employed at Belk-Hens- dale in Fayetteville. Immediately following the cer emony the bridal couple was honored at a reception, given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Williams, Jr. at Westlawn Ave nue, after which Mr. and Mrs. Patterson left ^r a wedding trip to Virginia Be^h. They are now making their home at Route 1, Fayetteville. 0 Mrs. Bruce Morris returned Misses Anne and Allie Spoon spent the past Sunday in the home Of Mr.' and Mrs. Millard Baker. TTiey came to bring Mrs. Baker’s brother, Cleon, who has been with her since the beginning of Mr. Baker’s illness. Mr.' Baker is im proving nicely now.
