In a furious rage he ordered his prime minister to cover his entire kingdom with leather. “lYour Mc^’esty/' replied Hhe wise prime minister, "let me cover your feet with leather, and wherever you go you will be protected." And so the first pair of shoes was made! ■ ^ • The little fellow whose first pair of shoes op^jealed to our photographer has a long way to travel. His journey though life will not be free of thorns. And he'll need more than shoes to make that jcftirney]’ ,| He'll need to develop that spiritual fiber which will do for his character what the first pair of shoes did for the king's feet. A man can't carpet the whole world—^but he can acquire the faith and courage which will enable him to climb life's most rugged trails. The Church brings such qualities to the life of man. The Church points the way to happy, wholesome living—for the grown-up with the burdens of life on his shoulders— and for the little tot in his first pair of shoes! \ . i "V X ^ ' f fnT VIST. o/t/r '■fe ciuS:?,®-- (1) ft. ftal.rtt?*®'’'’ 'ft.)/, “Si «) fZ “4. o/l, /® to CSf “■« ®aferi 'fsL ”1 (4) p°’' ^“PPor p', needs I Copjrrisht 1947 b; |A^E.Kci»ter,StrmibaTK.Vli»toU | This Page lil Sponsored By The Following Business Firms Of Hoke County Hotel Barher Shop Amos Furniture Co 5 Belk-Hensdale Co.
