Two new members were received and one was voted to be received at the next meeting. The Grange is in favor of having a special meeting with the Home Demon stration Club at which time there wi^ be some outstanding speedeers present to talk on Citizenship. The date will be announced later. Mrs. R. V, Page of Wilmington visited her daughter, Miss Jeanne Shell of the Rockfish school fac ulty, over the week end. Prof. T. G. Jones, principal of Rockfish School and Mr. A. W, Wood were among those who went to Raleigh last Thursday in the interest of schools. The Women’s Missionary Union of Tabernacle Church met with Mrs. IE. B. Booker Monday with very good attendance considering the cold, windy weather. Mrs. Bob Bundy% brother, Al ton" Woodle of Charlotte visited her last week. She had not seen him in three or fbur years. Mrs, M. S. Bristow has not been very well for the past two weeks. Mrs. C. S. Pickett and children Ronnie and Benita Jan of Fay etteville visited in the home of F. A. Wright Saturday. Mrs. and Mrs. Dan Meinnis and children and Mr. and Mrs. James Wood and children of Raeford were guests of Mr. and Mrs. T, G. Wood last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John G. Tally and sons, Jimmie and "Johnnie and Miss Telia McNair of Winston- Salem and Miss Meda McMillan of Parkton spent Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Dees and Mrs. J. M. McMillan. Mrs. George Dees and her fa ther, Mr. A. L. Long, visited Mr. Long’s brother, C. P. Long at Jackson Springs last Saturday. . _o IT PATS TO ADVERTISE The Principal of Rockfish School was sick over the week end and missed the Principals meeting for the first time in all his years of teaching. Mrs. Janie McGougan and daughter. Miss Vera McGougan came to visit Mrs. McGougan’s sister. Mrs. W. T. Boseman last Simday. She had gone to Pittman Hospital so they went there to see her. O. L. Townsend and Mrs. P. P. Bethea accompanied them to the hospital. Mr. M. H. Grooms, who was in Highsihith Hospital last week has returned to her home and is much improved in health at this time. Their will be choir practice at Galatia Thursday night (tonight) at 7:30. All who are interested in the Church music are urged to attend regularly. Sgt. Wade Pittman of Canip Lee, Va. visited his parents. Mr. and Mrs. George Pittman, the first of this week. He was accompanied by a friend, also from Camp Lee. N. Hare of Ab erdeen were Rockfish visitors Sunday. Mrs. E. T, Brock and daughter, Miss Bennie Lee Brock, went by bus to Raleigh last Saturday to visit with friends and relatives over the w'eek end. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Yeargan and children and Mr. E. T. Brock and sons,jE. T.
