Saturday with relatives in Rock-
fish.
Mrs. J. J. Cobb of Parkton, Mr.
and Mrs. Alonzo Watson and Miss
Lucile Jones of Fayetteville were
among those from a distance who
attended the all day services at
Tabernacue church, Sunday. The
program, with a picnic lunch at
noon was all that could be desired
and a very pleasant day was spent
in fellowship and renewing of old
acquaintances. The music was
splendid in spite of the fact that
some of the musicians invited were
not able to come. A special fea
ture of the afternoon was a solo
by Dannie Patterson of Eastover,
son of Mr. and Mrs. John Patter
son of Raeford, Route 2. •
Sgt. Elbert Dees who has been
in Newfoundland for the past year
is at home for a while and later
he will be stationed at Mobile,
Alabama.
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Williams
of Charlotte were guests of Mr.
and Mrs. B. B. B^t the first of
this week.
Mrs. C. S. Pickett and children,
Ronnie and Benita Jan, of Fay
etteville spent Saturday night and

St. P^auls last Saturday-night.. Mr.
Monroe has been in ill health for
some time and this was one of a
series of attacks that he has had
and it is hoped that be will soon
recover.
