Sinclair have returned after a trip to Western North Carolina. Arabia News . Linbert Ellis underwent an ap pendectomy last Thursday at Highsmith hospital and returned home Monday. Mrs. S. P. Trawick has been very sick for the past week. Melvin G. Hare of the U. S. Navy, California, is spending a few days leave with his mother, Mrs. W. H. Hare. Mrs. Rose Belflower plans to return to Florida in the near fu ture to spend the winter months. —^ O- Senators Praise Farm Bureau For Serving Farmers North Carolina’s two United State Senators, Clyde R. Hoey and Frank P. Graham, declared in statements released this week that the. North Carolina Farm Bureau is rendering a great service to the farmers of the State.. Statements W'ere made in support of the cur rent NCFB state-wide campaign for 80,000 members. Senator Hoey, who serves on the Senate Committee on Agrl culture and Forestry, said that “our ^'hole committee relies very strongly upon the recommenda tions .made by the Farm Bureau.” Commending the Farm^ Bureau for “the farsighted policy it has adopted and for its leadership in championing the cause of the faniiers of the Nation,” he, add ed, “we find, that'this Organiza tion gives very earnest and intel ligent consideration to farm poli cies and their recommendations and testimony before our Com mittee are always most helpful in adopting our agricultural pro gram.” In support of the current mem bership drive. Senator Graham said, “the North Carolina Farm America.” Graham referred to the often quoted .recommendation of Deah I. O. Schaub, Director, N. C.
