Alvis Dickson and sons, Airis Barnes, Jr. and Jobs Wyatt arrived Tuesday to spend the holidays with Mrs. Paul Dickson, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. faul Dickson. Dr. and Mrs. Dick- i!on have recently moved to Wil mington, Delaware where Dr. Dickson is with the Dupont-Ne- mours Institution. NeU Senter will arrive today from Springfield, Kentucky, where he is with the tobacco market, to spend the holidays with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Chalmers Davis, Mrs. Will Davis, Miss Donnie Lytle, Mrs. Annie McNeill and Percy McNeill visited the More- head Planetarium at Chapel Hill Sunday. Mrs. W. B. Crumpton and Miss Maude Poole arrived from Bel mont last night to spend the holi days here with home folks. Miss Alma Ferguson of Sanford IS spending the holidays with her mother, Mrs. J. M. Ferguson. Miss Flora Boyce, who is a guest at the Confederate Woman’s Home in Fayetteville will spend the hol idays in Raeford with Mr.^ and Mrs. K. A. MacDonald, and other friends. I. Mann and Miss Shirley Mann went to Durham Monday after noon for Milton, who accompan ied them home from Duke for the hol e ays. Mrs. Neil Senter entertained several friends and out-of-town people Simday evening after the concert/at the school. Coming in for coffee and other refreshments were the following from out-of- town who had come especially to attend the concert: J. T. Bradley and Tommy Bradley, Mrs. W. L. Senter, Mrs. Dent Sdhter and daughter. Jane, Mr. and Mrs. Reid Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Senter, all from Kipling. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Harrison and son of Wake Forest. arrived yesterday to spend the holidays in the home of Mrs. Harrison’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bau- com. Yarborough will have as their holiday guests, Mr. and Mrs. Harman Yarborough and two children of Columbia, S. C. and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Hold ing, Jr. of Raleigh. Mr. and Mrs. Henry F. Cren shaw of Ft. De’posit, Alabama, and Hugh McLauchlin of Gastonia will arrive today to spend the holidays with their mother, Mrs. H. C. McLauchlin. Miss Marian Lewis, who came home from Salem college last week to spend the holidays, went to Winston-Salem yesterday to attend a dance at the Old Town Club given by Misses Aurelia Gray, Annie Mercer Kesler, Julia Ryan Kesler, and Sandra Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Harris and sons are spending Christmas in Roxboro with relatives. Miss Alice Walker is leaving today for Forest City to spend the holidays with her mother. Mrs. Mary McBryde spent Sun day in Liberty in the home of Dr. and Mrs. K. B. Grim. Dr. Grim has been sick for the past week but is recuperating nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dixon. Mr. and firs. Chester Wade, Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Tapp and Crawford Wright attended the funeral of Mr. Dixon’s brother. Jom. Dixon, in Oxfor^ last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Gibson, Jr. and daughter, Susan, are leaving today for Roxboro to spend Christmas with Mrs. Gibson’s mother, Mrs. Ed Gentry. Carolyn and R. O. Atkinson, Jr are spending the holidays in Chester, S. C. with their father. ■ Judith Warlick had the mis-' fortune to fall while playing last Saturday and break her arm. Chandler Roberts of Raleigh is spending two weeks here with his family. Mrs. Shaw McEachern, who is a member of the music faculty at Fassifern, Hendersonville, her son, Sandy of UNC. Chapel Hill, and Mrs. Kathleen Wilson of Asheville, have arrived to spend the holidays with their mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ledbetter Nichol son will spend Christmas in El- lenboro with Mrs. Nicholson’s parents. 0 By Mrs. D. The Arc^ia Home Demonstra tion club had their Christmas Club party at Mrs. - J. A. Jones Tuesday. The Christmas program and tree for the children of Sandy' Grove will be Friday bight at 6:30 o’ clock. Miss Della McMillan is visit ing Mrs. Bessie McMillan apd family of Hope Mills since last week. Friends here were sorry to hear of the illness of Mrs. J. D. Mc Bryde last week. We hope she will recover soon. The Sandy Grove Ladies Aid met in the home of Mrs. Ernest Davis Wednesday night for their annual Christmas party. Mrs. Callie Bostic, Mrs. C. D.
