The Hoke County CounciJ of Home Demonstration Clubs met on the afternoon of June 5. Twen ty officers and leaders attended. Mrs. Mary.L, McAllister was pre sent and discussed the program of work for 1951. The Allendale Home Demon stration Club served lunch to the Hoke County Commissioners, Mr. McGoogan, the County Auditor, Mr. J. M. Andrews, the County Solicitor, Mr. H. A. Greene, Leg islator from Hoke County and Mt. K. A. MacDonald, County Superintendent, on the first Mon day in June. ' , Miss Nita Orr, Food Conser vation Specialist, spoke to a group of 21 people on the evening of June 30. Miss Orr talked on the relationship between the freezer locker plant and the honie'stor age unit. She also gave some practical information on freezing foods, the number one method of food preservation today. The Mildouson Club held a picnic for the entire community on the evening of June 14 and the Arabia Club had a chicken supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard McFadyen on June 28. long time records. Each camper made a wooden record book cover to use in keeping 4-H records. The County 4-H^ Dress Revue was held in June. Annie Blue Cameron was the first place win ner. She received $10.00 given by the Lions Club and will use her $10.00 to pay her way to State College on July 24-29, where she will represent Hoke County in the State Dress Revue. Mary Mc Lean was second place winner. The Home Agent judged the 4-H dress revue in Robeson County on the vening of June 16.
