For November
One hundred and sixty-six
Circle No. 1 of Shiloh Presby
terian church met Monday night
in the home of Mrs. Mayme Bevan
with Mrs. Pete Sawyer as co
hostess. Mrs. S. A. Ewart taught
the Bible lesson. Circle No. 2 met
in the home of Mrs. R. M. Hooper
on the same night. Mrs. O. B. Is
club women attended Home'Dem
onstration Club meetings in Hoke
County in November. The dem
onstration, “Wrapping Christmas
Gifts and Making Chirstmas Can
dies; was given by leaders in 12
clubs and by the Home Agent in
two clubs.
The annual Achievement Day
program was held at the Hoke
High School on Tuesday, Novem
ber 7. One hundred and fifteen
(115) people were present. Mrs.
John Baker gave the report of her
trip to the National Home Demon
stration Club Council, which was
held in Biloxi, Mississippi. Mrs.
Mary L. McAllister, District Agent
of Raleigh, brought greetings
from the State Office and Mr. D.
E. Holler, Assistant State 4-H
Leader, talked on “4-H” Club
Work.”
The Arabia Club served the
county commissioners, the PMA
Committeemen and Miss Louise
Blue, Chief Clerk in the PMA
office on the first Monday in No
vember. Lunch was served in the
Lions Club dining room.
The Wayside Club served a
supper to the Men’s Club of the
Raeford 'Methodist (Church , and
added approximately $50 to their
treasury.
The Rockfish Club sponsored a
muscial program to make money
for their club treasury.

preparation for November meet
ings was held with 27 women at
