NOTICE OF PRIMARY ELECTION
AND REGISTRATION DATES
In accordance to the Town Charter as amended by the
1943 legislature, the primary for the nominations of
candidates for Mayor and five commissioners for the
Town of Raeford for the coining two-year term will be
held in the Town Hall on Monday, April 6th, 1953. '
The registrar will have the books open beginning Satur
day, March 14th and will remain open until Saturday,
March 28th for all who have not done so and are eligible
to register.
Saturday April 4th will be Challenge Day and the books
will be open that day for that purpose.
Thursday, March 26th, will be the last day for filing
and no name will be placed on the ticket at the general
election which will be held Monday, May 4th unless
same has been filed with the town clerk on or before
the said closjng date with the required fee.

ing, bedding, linens, and canned
foods, try these suggestions from
extension home management spe
cialist Mamie N. Whisnant:
Have hanging rods, hooks and
shelf spate In closet, and shoe
rack or shoe bag on door. Avoid
crowding, clothes on hangers
saves extra pressing. Keep clothes
mended, cleaned and pressed.
Label boxes and garment bags.
It saves opening "wrong one" la
ter to get what you want. Use
drawers or boxes with partitions
for handkerchiefs, hose, gloves,
etc. You can make these.
Store linens and bedding in or
near room where they are used.
Label and stack bed linens ac
cording to size and quality sin
gle bed sheets in one stack, dou
bel bed sheets in another; mus
lin sheets in one stack, percale
in other, etc.
Follow your canning budget
and can only what you need.
Canning more than your budget
wastes time and energy, takes
unnecessary storage space and
means a lot of old left overs,
much of which may spoil if not
used in several years.
Store canned foods in or near
kitchen if at all possible. It is a
great time and energy saver. Car
ry in at least a week's supply in
one trip, if stored out of the kitch
en. Group and label canned foods
according to kind and arrange
an emergency shelf for unexpect
ed guests.
