NORTH CAROLINA Sealed proposals will be re ceived by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of Raeford, North Carolina at the Town Hall until 8:00 P. M. on October S, 1953; and thereafter immediately opened and read publicly for the furnishing of ma terials, labor and equipment for performing the following work: Section 1 - Street Improvements 11,000 Lin. ft. Comb. Cone. Curb and Gutter 4,000 Lin. ft. Storm Sewers 15"-48" Diameter Catch Basins, Manholes and Appurtenant Items Plans, Specifications and Pro posal Forms are on file at the office of Moore, Gardner and Mc Millan, Inc., Consulting Engi needs of Asheboro, N. C, and may be obtained from them by bona fide bidders upon request. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes, upon blank forms provided in the copies of Specifications, Proposal and Con tract. These proposals must be plainly marked, PROPOSAL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR TH2! TOWN OF RAEFORD, NORTH CAROLINA. Each bid must be accompanied ty certified check in the amount cent, the bidder may offer a Bid ders Bond in an amount of not less than five per cent of the total amount bid. The checks or bid ders bond of unsuccessful bidders will be returned as soon as a ward of contract is made. The check or bidders bond submitted by the person or "firm awarded the contract will be retained un til the contract is signed. The Mayor and Board of Com missioners reserve the right to hold the two low bids for a period of thirty days before final dis position of bids is made. The Mayor and Board of Com missioners reserve the right to reject any or al bids, to waive formalities; and the right to select the bid, the acceptance of which will, in their judgment, best se cure the efficient performance of work.
