The following members of the Rockfish 4-H Club, Carolyn Bare foot, Kenneth Scarborough, Char les Overton and Donald Lindsay along with County Agent Willi ford and Mrs. Williford and other groups of 4-H Club members visited Fort Bragg last Saturday. They reported seeing the atomic gun and guided missies and were shown over the parachute pack ing plant, the Fort Bragg mu seum, Pope Air Force Base and the Helicopter place. They had lunch at a cafeteria and said they enjoyed It all very much. The Choir of Tabernacle Bap tist Church are practicing almost every night this week for the presentation of a Christmas Can tata Sunday night, December 19. Galatia Presbyterian Church peo ple are planning to have a pag eant portraying the birth of Christ on Sunday night, Decem ber 26. Both churches invite you to attend these services. Mrs. George Pittman was ser iously ill Monday, but has im proved some and it is hoped that she is on the road to a complete recovery. and daughter, Teresa Jane of St. Pauls were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Dees Sunday. His many friends in this area are sorry to learn of the illness of Luther Mclnnis of Dundar rach, who is a patient at Scotland Memorial Hospital, Laurinburg. Mr. and Mrs. N. A. McKeithan went to Rubin Jones Temple in Fayetteville to hear the singers, Hank Johnson's group and Char lie Bailey. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Pittman and children, Gerald and Marian, visited Mr. and Mrs. Clarence I Pittman and family at Elizabeth City the past week end. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Barefoot and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips of Raeford. Miss Betty Jo Lovette of Way side, who is a graduate of Lees McRae College, Banner Elk, has completed her internship at Rex Hospital in Raleigh and has ac cepted a position as a Medical Record Librarian at Rex Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin McDowell and children of Holly Springs visited Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Mc Keithan and family last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Wright Parker of Laurinburg were guests of A. L. Long and family Sunday. Mrs. Arthur Watson and son, Bobby, of Fayetteville spent Monday with Mrs. Grady English and daughter, Judy. past week end with Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Pickett and family of Fayetteville. Mrs. Kirk Parker, Misses Allie and Katie Black, Mrs. Mary Mc lnnis, J. A. Black and Dunk Harris were among those from this section who went to hear the performance of "Messiah" at the High School auditorium in Fay etteville Sunday. There were 21 in the group and they sang for the sick and shut-ins. At some of the homes they were invited in for refreshments, so they had a jolly time as they brought pleasure to the people they visited and en joyed the hospitality of their I homes. The boys and girls were accompanied on this tour by Mrs. j Wilson Lunstord of Raeford. Parkers Church will present the Christmas Story with a tab leau, next Sunday night at 7 o'clock.
