If any one is in Christ, he is a
new creation. (II Corinthians 5:
17. RSV.) Read II Corinthians
5:17-31.
One day a m;m said to me: "I
cm i not stop drinking- I was in
jaii my fifth time caused by my
craving for rice wine. Then a
Japanese pastor preached in the
prison and gave me a copy of
John's Gospel. Its message gi'ip
ped me and I decided to follow
Christ. My whole life changed.
I lost my craving for drink. When
released from prison, I went to
a church and became a Christ
ian." Now be is n new creation,
busy telling others about Christ's
saving power.
If we regard people from the
human point of view only, they
are hopeless slaves of sin. If we
regard Christ only from a human
point of view, He becomes only
an example of moral perfection
to which we cannot attain.
But however much we may be
bound by the chains of human
weakness, in Christ we may find
divine strength that can make
us new creations. With Paul we
then say: "Thanks be to God,

Farm Questions
QUESTION: If the cotton re
ferendum December 14 does not
carry, will allotments end?
ANSWKR: No. The object of
the referendum is to set the sup
port level of next year's cotton.
Acreage allotments have already
been established for 1955 and
will be in effect regardless of the
outcome of the election.
QUESTION: If the election
carries, how will it effect me?
ANSWER: If you plant within
your allotment, you will be en
titled to price supports ranging
between 82' j to 90 per cent of
parity, or about 33 cents a pound.
Cotton produced in excess of al
lotments will be subject to mar
keting penalties.
QUESTION: What will happen
to cotton supports if the election
fails to carry?
ANSWER: Cotton will be sup
ported at only 50 per cent of par
ity, or around 17 cents a pound.
Crop output this year Is down
about 5 per cent from 1953,
largely because of reduced pro
duction of cotton and wheat.

They are not wise, these three small men. They
are simple in the way of children. They bear little
semblance to the three Princes who came to
Christ's manger to pay homage . , . save that they,
too, bear gifts, offering them with a song, a Christ
mas carol upon their lips.
Behind them stands the Church, the home of
Christ, the house that welcomes those who would
visit Him. These youngsters are among His regu
lar visitors, and for them Christmas has a very
special meaning.
Thc::r;h they will have a tree trimmed with shin
ing ornaments, brightly wrapped packages, fun
f.rd la. ghter, they will be deeply conscious of the ,
true meaning of this glorious season. Through
their chr.rcii they have learned the wonders of
God's love which endures not just at Christmas
but throughout every day of every year.
