English, and Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Wood. Marion Wood of Campbell Col lege, Buies Creek visited his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Wood, over the week end. A. A. 'Wrifjht of Raleigh visit ed his daughters, Mrs. E. T. Brock and Mrs. Roscoe Bundy and fam ines, the past week end. Mr. and Mrs. If. A. McKeithan visited Mr. and Mrs. Parker Mc Keithan at Studmaa Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dupree Lockamy and sons went to Wade Saturday where they visited Mr. Lockamy'6 sister and family and his father, J. C. Lockamjr, who lives with his daughter. Sorry we didn't mention how nice Fayetteville Street looked last week after the road crew got around to smoothing it over. Smith Mclnnis returned home Monday after two weeks at Moore County Hospital where he underwent an operation. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Ray kave been informed that their son, Thomas Hay, who has been sta tioned at Camp Cordon for some time, is now on his way to Germany. O. ter, L. Galatia Church Is planning a homecoming thie fall. As yet the exact date has not been ; but they hope to have it some time in October. family this week. Mrs. Scott Turner reports an- Mr. and Mrs. Henry Plummar's children all decided to come to see them at the same time last Sunday, so the result wae a com plete reunion of the family. Sgt. and Mrs. C. M. Allison and chil dren of Charlestpn, S. C, Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Wilibn and children of Fort Bragg, Dr. and Mrs. Billy Plummer of Goldsboro, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Miller and children, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Plummer and children, who live near by and Mr. and Mrs. Jiramie Plummer of the home made up the happy group that gathered with Mr. end Mrs. Plummer lor a big Sunday dinner and a jolly good time. Other guests of the Plummer on thrs occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wade of Raeford. Just before you get to Mbore County Hospital you see a mark er beside the road that marks the old Yadkin road. On this marker we read that this was originally a buffalo trail from the Yadkin River Valley to the Cape Fear. Just imagine seeing a line of buffaloes tramping along that trail. Mrs. S. D. Braddy and her granddaughter. Miss Dayne Capps, attended the homecoming at Vass Methodist Church last Sunday.
