Friends were asked to call at the White home on Har ris Avenue Sunday afternoon be tween three and five o’clock. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Culbreth greeted guests at the door and di rected them to the receiving line in the living room. In the receiv ing line were the hosts, Mr. and Mrs. White and Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Ramsey of Spartanburg, S. C. All white arrangements of gladi oli, lilies and gypsophilia decorat ed the living room. Mrs. W. B Heyward received in the dining room and Mrs. Neill McFadyen and Mrs. Garvin Bishop presided at the punch bowl. The table was covered with a white linen and lace cloth, tied with silver bows and lilies at the corners. The cen terpiece was a bouquet of white roses, lily of the valley and snap dragons and white candles in sil ver candelabra. Assisting in ser ving cakes, nuts, mints and cheese biscuit were Mrs. J. W. Walker, Mrs. Audrey Page and Misses Mary Alice and Annie Louise Bi shop. Directing guests to the den were Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Bishop and in the gift room were Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Grigg of Gastonia. Yellow and bronze lilies were used in the panelled den. Mrs. Chand ler Roberts presided at the regis ter. Goodbyes were said to Mr. and Mrs. R. E. After lunch was spread on picnic tables the invocation was given by vice-pres ident, Luther Powell, of Parkton. After lunch a business meeting was called to order by president, Hinson Walters, of Vass. The min utes of the last meeting were read by secretary, Mrs. Frances W. Falk. The treasurer, Mrs. Flora C. Walters, gave a report after which a collection was taken up. Tom McCall, historian, of Char lotte gave a report. The same of ficers were appointed to serve next year. The reunion will be held next year the 2nd Sunday in June at Lakewood Park. 0 Mrs. Wilbert Stanton and dau ghter, Linda, visited Mr. and Mrs. A. W.
