Mrs. G. L. McMillan under
went a terryfylng experience
last week as she was trying to
save a beehive from a grass
fire. She dropped the hive where
she stepped Into a side ditch.
The top of the hive fell off and
the bees angrily swooped over
her head and she got stung by
25 st least that many stingers
were removed from off of her
head. Her thick hair saved
her from fatal stings no doubt.

Mrs. Harold GUUs' first
grade presented a chapel pro
gram at 1:15 on February 7.
For the devotional the class
said Psalm 100 and Harold
Tillman led In prayer. They
said the pledge to the flag
and sang “America." Ten
children formed a band and
played one number using the
rhythm Instruments.
Barbara Douglas announced
that the class had been working
on good manners and several
children listed rulea. This was
followed by an original tong.
Announcing was done by Rose
mary Inman, Jan Woodell, Tim
Roberts, Ellen Bundy and Larry
Bass.
After songs and poeme, a
play about a snowman who came
to life was presented by Debbie
Polston, Carolyn White, John
McIntyre and Johnny Manuel.
Mrs. Roberts fourth grade
preaented Its chapel program
on Tuesday afternoon of last
week.
The program was announced
by Martin Best, who also gave
the devotional and a sketch on
the origin of Valentin.■ Day.
A short play, “A Valentine
for Grandma," which consisted
of Valentine dances, poems,
and singing games, was then
presented by all children In the
grade.
