set for the marketing quota
referendum for the 1') crop
of upland cotton. Thomas R.
Burgess, Office Manager of the
Agricultural Stabilization and
Conservation Service, said this
week.
I he vote will be held by
mail, as it has been for the past
2 years. Notices of larm
acreage allotments will be
mailed to operators of cotton
farms prior to the referendum.
If quotas aie approved by at
least two-thirds of the upland
cotton growers voting, the

upland cotton program will not
be announced until after the
